I think that death date is correct.
A "Mrs James Rigbe" died in Wake Co NC that day. There were two Jameses in Wake Co at the time --
the husband of this Rebecca, and their son. Rebecca is not with the older James on the 1840 census,
but I also can't find the younger James and his wife. It seems more likely to me that this is the Mrs James
who died, rather than her daughter-in-law.
