Notes:

This is supposed to be his family, according to a Barbee web site. This family matches these census entries:

1860 census Chatham Co NC p24a
Wm Barbee 45 NC
Eliza 47 NC
Thos 27 NC
Henry 21 NC
Rufus 18 NC
Cornelia 16 NC
Ann 12 NC
Wm 7 NC
Milly 5 NC

1850 census Chatham Co NC p480a
William A Barbee 34 NC
Eliza 35 NC
Thomas C 12? NC
Henry H 11 NC
Ruffus 9 NC
Cornelia 6 NC
Frances J 3 NC
Margert 1 NC

1840 census Wake Co NC p178
William A Barbee 2 M <5, 2 M 20-30, 1 F 20-30
[Henry 1, Thomas 2, William 24, Eliza 25]

The 1850 entry is on the page after Christopher III.
However, William son of Christopher III seems to be with his father in Chatham Co on the 1840 census.
Christopher's entry has a male William's age. It can't be William's brother Bartlett, who is on the same
page, and Christopher's earlier census entries indicate William and Bartlett were his only two sons of
that age range. Christopher's entry does not have anyone who could be William's wife or child.
The 1850 census has:

1850 census Houston Co TX p189b
William Barbee 33 NC
Jane 26 NC
Gilly? A Bucker? 60 NC
