died in either Rowan Co., NC or Chester/York Co., SC border area in Dec, 1756 (date of will, which was probated in Rowan C., NC Jan, 1757 by son and heir-at-law, Alexander McCulloch). Alexander sold some of his father's 1753 grant in Chester Co., SC ca 1767 to Archibald Elliott, an associate of Isaac McCulloch of the Waxhaws Settlement, Lancaster Co., SC. The land that Alexander McCulloch sold to Elliott adjoined land owned and occupied by Daniel Elliott (wife Mary McCulloch) by Dec, 1775, per journal of Presbyterian minister John Simpson of that date. Also noted by Rev Simpson in the Dec "visitations on Fishing Creek" (Chester and York Co., SC) were Samuel McCullough and Thomas McCullough and their wives.
